System freezes when loading disk.sys

ReactOS version: 0.2.3

The system freezes when it's loading disk.sys.
The last 2 lines that appear are:
Initializing system32\drivers\disk.sys...
Driverbase for \disk.sys: ddaeb000

I assume more info is needed, but how is that done?

I am using the boot.bat (I can't use the installation program because I have no
CD-ROM drive and there isn't (at least documented) DOS mode install executable
like in winnt/2k).

The HD led is left on.

Machine: HP Omnibook 5700CTX Notebook, Opti Viper mainboard, Intel Pentium MMX
166MHz, 64Mt RAM, IBM 6,5Gt IDE HD.

Didn't found bugzilla component for device driver .sys files, selected kernel.
