2nd stage setup failure with VmWare and MSVC builds

Using VmWare Workstation 9 and VmWare Player 5 combined with MSVC builds, i can't get past the second stage, because of an exception at the end of the 2nd stage setup.
Tested with MSVC builds taken from Caemyr's FTP and r57290
