explorer_new systray does not wipe off crashed apps

Steps to Reproduce the issue:
1. startup ROS
2. Kill for example kbswitch.exe
3. language bar icon in systray stays visible but can not be clicked (zombie-icon)
happens with many (all?) systray apps

When you do the same on real Windows 2k3 or XP with MS-explorer.exe,
the icon stays visible after killing those processes too, but Systray is refreshed as soon as you hover the mouse over the dead icon (not perfect, but much better).

Most likely an issue within explorer_new (more likely as within dll-dependency),
because Cross-test with explorer_new on real XP shows the same issue.
