PanoramaFactory 4.5 *Legacy edition* fails to start on master

The Panorama Factory 4.5 Legacy edition (demo available from this page) used to partly work in previous RC versions of ROS up to 0.4.14 RC96 (last tested by me). (See here.)

With ROS reactos-bootcd-0.4.15-dev-2940-ga559d83-x86-gcc-lin-dbg.iso however, the applications now fails to start (after successful installation with English language chosen) with the error below:
The instruction at "0x6c385d61" referenced memory at "0x00000008". The memory could not be "written". No compatibility settings are applied (as in previous tests).

ROS has written an Appcrash PanoramaFactory 4.5 legacy ROS0.4.15-dev-2940.txt text file, which you find attached.

As comparison I have attached a screenshot of the application after successful launch in ROS 0.4.14 RC96.

A yet inclomplete bisecting test showed that 0.4.15-dev-512 was already affected. See below, this is a master vs. RC issue.
