Regression: Explorer file browser, select by typing is misbehaving

Reproduction steps

• open explorer file browser and navigate to system32
• now type "cmd" and leave less than 0.5seconds between each keystroke

Expected result
the selection should jump to cmd.exe

Observed result
the selection first jumps to the first file beginning with c, then it jumps to the first file beginning with m, then it jumps to the first file beginning with d

For the record: This is a regression, as that scenario still works like a charm in the older:

You could even type "cmd" there (it jumped to cmd.exe), then you could wait a few seconds and type "opengl" and it would jump to opengl32.dll. Exactly like one is used that to work on Windows.
