    Description

When booting from Live CD, computer is recognized as "Standard Uniprocessor PC" in the device mamager, and although ACPI driver is loaded, the "Turn Off.." button doesn't work.

If an ACPI HAL is manually specified (either PIC ACPI or APIC ACPI), power button does work.

However it takes some time to figure out which HAL to use in different configurations (be it virtual or real hardware), so our FreeLoader should be able to autodetect hardware and select the best fitting HAL, specifically when HAL= option is not specified in the boot parameters.
